Partners for Inclusion

Partners for Inclusion (PfI) is a joint initiative between ILS, Sheffield City Council, Sheffield First for Health, the Primary Care Trusts and disabled people in Sheffield.

What is the partnership for?

We want to improve services across Sheffield for everyone with a physical, sensory or cognitive impairment. We want to identify which services work well and what needs improving.

By working in partnership with the local authority, health providers and voluntary sector we can have a real influence on policy making, and improving services for all.

What have Partners for Inclusion been doing?

Our last consultation event on 18th March 2005 was held at the grounds of Sheffield Wednesday, where around 80 people attended. Items up for discussion included:

  • The implications of the National Service Framework for Long Term and Neurological conditions
  • Looking at 'Mapping service provision' through a series of exercises and workshops
  • Identifying what the most important issues are for disabled people in Sheffield
  • Considering issues around advocacy for disabled people

This page is still under development so please call back soon for more information about PfI and how YOU can get involved.

Why not contact us to discuss your requirements further? We'd be delighted to help.
