Have Your Say

ILS has a responsibility to help ensure disabled people's voices are heard. We have undertaken consultation directly with disabled people and will continue to do so.

Use the links below to find out how you can have YOUR say:

Attending one of our upcoming events. Most public bodies have a legal duty to consult with disabled people.

Whenever a new service is being developed, or an existing service is reviewing its practice, ILS would encourage the service provider to seek the opinion of those using that service.

Whenever this happens ILS holds something called a stakeholder event. This is where you as a customer could have your say about any proposed ideas before they are put into practice.

To take part in any of these events you can either contact us giving us your details and areas of interest so that we can contact you directly should an event that you are interested in be planned or, use this page to keep yourself up to date with upcoming events and contact us only if you wish to attend. (Any personal details you forward to ILS will be kept strictly confidential)

An event was held at Sheffield Town Hall , which gave over 40 people a chance to have their say.

We also hosted a successful ‘Direct Payments' consultation event with Derbyshire Coalition for Inclusive Living regarding the establishment of a ‘Local Implementation Group' for people who receive a Direct Payment.
